The Definition of Relationship

The definition of “a relationship” varies from person to person depending on their interpretation of a definition. It is more of a general term for all of the relationships that do not include marriage and divorce. An “intimate relationship” is any personal, emotional or sexual intimacy between a single person and another individual or a group of people. A romantic relationship is often a sexual relationship while a more platonic relationship may be either a casual friendship or a platonic sexual relationship between two people. A non-romantic relationship may be a casual business, political, or religious relationship.

If you have never had a relationship before, the definition of “relationship” could be difficult for you to understand because physical intimacy is often associated with relationships. You may not know what to expect when you enter into a relationship and may have mixed feelings about your experience. In order to make the process of learning a relationship easier, here are some of the things that are commonly considered to be part of a relationship.

  • Friendship: A friendship is a type of relationship where you can get along well with one another without being romantically involved. When you are in a friendship you share things with each other that you normally would not discuss with another person. This can be an excellent way to spend quality time with friends.
