One thing I need to remember daily is to not worry about grasping what is out of my reach, but to hold on to what God has already placed in my hands and use it for His glory.

Start Where You Are

Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory

Don’t take moments for granted

Be thankful for what you have; you'll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don't have, you will never, ever have enough. Oprah Winfrey

when is enough enough?

Dear God: Thank you for being there when nobody else was.

Postcard to God

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift that's why they call it the present

This is the beginning of a new day

This is the beginning of a new day.

God has given me this day to use as I will.

I can waste it or use it for good.

What I do today is important, because

I’m exchanging  a day of my life for it.

When tomorrow comes,

this day will be gone forever,

leaving  something I have traded for it.

 I want it to be gain, not loss; good, not evil;

success, not failure; in order that I

shall not regret the price I paid for it.

We tend to forget that happiness doesn't come as a result of getting something we don't have but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have

be grateful for what you already have

Learn to appreciate what you have before time makes you appreciate what you had

learn to be grateful

gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues but the parent of all others cicero

I am thankful…

For the wife
Who says it’s hot dogs tonight,
Because she is home with me,
And not out with someone else.

For the husband
Who is on the sofa
Being a couch potato,
Because he is home with me
And not out at the bars.

For the teenager
Who is complaining about doing dishes
Because it means she is at home,
Not on the streets.

For the taxes I pay
Because it means
I am employed.

For the mess to clean after a party
Because it means I have
Been surrounded by friends.

For the clothes that fit a little too snug
Because it means
I have enough to eat.

For my shadow that watches me work
Because it means
I am out in the sunshine

For a lawn that needs mowing,
Windows that need cleaning,
And gutters that need fixing
Because it means I have a home.

For all the complaining
I hear about the government
Because it means
We have freedom of speech..

For the parking spot
I find at the far end of the parking lot
Because it means I am capable of walking
And I have been blessed with transportation.

For my huge heating bill
Because it means
I am warm.

For the lady behind me in church
Who sings off key because it means
I can hear.

For the pile of laundry and ironing
Because it means
I have clothes to wear.

For weariness and aching muscles
At the end of the day
Because it means I have been
Capable of working hard.

For the alarm that goes off
In the early morning hours
Because it means I am alive.
